Our constant commitment to always offer you the best

The Parlapiano Donato Biodynamic Farm is an entrepreneurial reality resulting from the evolution of a family business, handed down from generation to generation, which has adapted to the needs of the times. The then very small business was born as a cereal and horticultural farm, specialized in plowing and threshing service, in the nascent agriculture of the post-reclamation of the Pontine plain, then converted to fruit growing. In 1980 the experimentation of a new fruit species begins, the kiwi, than looking out on the market in those years, found the ideal habitat in the land of Borgo Flora. Accumulating experience and knowledge in the field over the decades, the Parlapiano family has specialized not only in the cultivation of kiwifruit but also in the conservation and packaging of the product, creating the Azienda Agricola Parlapiano brand and making its fruits known in national and foreign wholesale markets. At the end of the nineties the company evolves further, moving from a more traditional cultivation, the application of the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture, resulting from an ethical and sustainable choice.

I kiwi Parlapiano Donato, Hayward green and Soreli yellow, since then they have been grown with the aforementioned methods, thanks to which the quality of the finished product has been significantly improved, respecting nature and the final consumer. The effect of the mild climate and fertile soil of the province of Latina also adds value to Parlapiano products, that allow the production of fruit with an excellent flavor and excellent resistance. The kiwis have Codex and Demeter certifications and are selected and stored in controlled atmosphere refrigeration cells. Thanks to decades of experience in cultivation and distribution, the company is able to supply fruits of any size in the required packaging, flow pack and trays included.

The kiwi harvest takes place in late November for the Hayward kiwifruit and about a month earlier for the Soreli yellow kiwifruit, when the ripening is optimal on the plant, this gives the product superior organoleptic conditions compared to those grown in the other areas, because Cisterna di Latina enjoys particular pedo climatic conditions, also due to the soil rich in minerals, thanks to the ancient volcanoes of the Alban Hills, today they have become lakes”. Our target market is almost entirely directed abroad, where the organic and biodynamic product is particularly appreciated”
